Oak doors are usually found to be light in colour and more or less all of our mahogany doors are the same. As with all oak doors, you can wax or stain them, though you may find it is best not to wax the interior of any doors that are fitted to a bathroom. If you are fitting a lot of oak doors in and around your home, place them close to the desired openings and ensure that the doors are an appropriate match, if they are not then turn some of the doors round to gain the best possible result before you try and fit the hinges. The use of doors made out of oak has never been as popular as what it is now and is flourishing daily, even when accommodating for the fact that Oak costs a lot more money. You will find there is a difference in the colour when you compared it to mahogany, but it is not as big a difference as you may think.
